Odisha is full of different snakes, it has so many highly venomous snakes it’s hard to believe bcoz I’m from bbsr and haven’t seen a single snake other than nandankanan in about 15 years. Thank you to the snake rescue team for their commendable work and saving precious lives for this species.
In 2009 we lost a pet dog to a possible Russell viper bite. We had not seen it, but our neighbors said they saw our dog being bitten by a viper while we were out of town. He had a large swelling and a nasty wound in his mouth. He did not even respond to treatment. He died after suffering 3 days 😥The dog lived with us for 9 years.
